There are two installation (setup) programs for Complete Time Tracking Professional. They are:

 

Server
Client

Server Installation

The Server installation is typically a once only installation on a computer designated as the server computer. It installs the central database and also automatically installs a Client installation (see below) so that a user such as the administrator can use the server computer to track their time.

 

Note: The Complete Time Tracking Pro server must be installed using the Windows Administrator account.

 

The Server computer must be turned on in order for Client users to use Complete Time Tracking Pro therefore we recommend that you install Complete Time Tracking Pro Server on a computer that is always powered on.

 

Client Installation

The Client software is installed on all other computers where Complete Time Tracking Pro will be used by staff to track their time.

 

Important: If the Server or Client computers are running firewall software or you use a corporate firewall computer then you will need to configure the firewall to allow access from the Client computers to the Server computer as the client and server communicate across the network.
