Firewall Configuration

The Complete Time Tracking Pro software installed on the Client computers, communicates with the Complete Time Tracking Pro database on the Server computer using a TCP/IP connection to TCP port 18200.

 

If you are running a corporate firewall computer between the Client computers and the Server computer, or personal firewall software such as Norton Internet Security, ZoneAlarm, McAfee Personal Firewall or Windows XP firewall on the Client or Server computers, then you must configure the firewall as follows:

 

On the Server computer allow the application cttproserver.exe, located in the server\bin sub-folder where the Complete Time Tracking Pro software was installed, to run as a server listening on TCP port 18200.
On all Client computers allow the application CompleteTimeTrackingPro.exe, located in the Complete Time Tracking Pro installation folder, to connect to the Server computer using TCP/IP.
