Complete Time Tracking Software

There are two types of affiliate links, direct links and hidden graphic tracking links. Which type you use is entirely up to you (you can use both if you like).

In both cases we track each visitor from your site for 3 months. This means that even if they return to our site days, weeks or months later to purchase one of our products, such as after the 30-day free trial period has expired, we still pay you the referral fees.

Your affiliate ID is automatically retrieved from the visitor when they use our purchase page and passed to our order processing system. We take care of their entire shopping experience: fulfillment, customer service, registration, and support, and we track the sales generated from your site. You have online access to your sales reports.

Direct links contain your unique affiliate ID and allow us to track your visitors when they click the link to go to our web site. Direct links have the following HTML code:

  http://www.complete-time-tracking.com/a.php?a=AffiliateID

Simply replace AffiliateID with the unique affiliate ID assigned to you when you complete the affiliate application. For example, the following link uses a direct link with the example affiliate ID of 123456:

When a visitor on your web site clicks through a direct link we start tracking them (using standard web browser cookie technology) and then automatically and immediately redirect them to the Complete Time Tracking web site home page. This helps to mask the affiliate link from the visitor by hiding the affiliate ID from the browsers address bar.

Hidden Graphic Tracking Links allow us to start tracking your visitors even before they click on a link to our web site. You include an invisible graphic image link to us on your web site which contains your unique affiliate ID. This immediately starts our tracking of your visitor when they view your web site (using standard web browser cookie technology).

You then include regular links to our site for your visitors to click through. These regular links do not need to contain your affiliate ID as we have already started tracking the visitor.

The benefit of this technique is that the affiliate link is totally hidden from the visitor. Some people don't like the idea of affiliate ID's in links and place less importance on your "recommendation" to visit our web site. Others will manually copy and paste the link into their browsers address bar, removing the affiliate ID.

Hidden graphic tracking links display a 1x1 pixel transparent (invisible) gif image using the following HTML code:

Replace AffiliateID with the unique affiliate ID assigned to you when you complete the affiliate application.

You can use regular (non-affiliate) links to the Complete Time Tracking web site within the text of your web pages, such as time tracking software (note that the affiliate ID is not included in this link). Visitors are much more likely to click the link to go to our web site, which ultimately means more sales and therefore more referral fees for you!

Checking Direct Links

Once your direct link is set up click it to be taken to our site.

Click the Display Affiliate ID link above to check that the affiliate ID is correctly recorded. Note: You might need to refresh the Display Affiliate ID page to see the affiliate ID correctly.

You can clear the recorded affiliate ID to check other affiliate links by clicking the Clear Affiliate ID link above.

Checking Hidden Graphic Tracking Links

Once your hidden graphic tracking link and any regular links are set up visit the web page on your site containing the hidden graphic tracking link and click one of the regular links to be taken to our site.

Click the Display Affiliate ID link above to check that the affiliate ID is correctly recorded. Note: You might need to refresh the Display Affiliate ID page to see the affiliate ID correctly.
